He's going to transfer. Has already graduated early...etc...etc.
It would be for one year...but why not take a shot at this?

Even when finally talented, Bama QB’s are poorly prepared for pressure.

Bama was going to ride that horse no matter what. You don't get a five star qb just to manage your game and hand off..,

Ah hell no. Not sure I'd want his attitude but he makes up for it with his inaccurate passing.

Ten bucks says WoodstockIrish thinks he's better than Book. Perhaps even much better.

Thread Level: 3

He already said that a while back. I think Book is better than Hurts but I only say that because

So you’re asking Woody to say that Kelly can’t recruit great QB’s and if he does can’t develop them?

He looks good in a "Bama uniform because he has the 'Bama OL. He really isn't much different than Wimbush re: accuracy.

Besides we are better off hoping that Jurkovec makes a move as a soph to create a qb controversy. The biggest thing we learned from the Clemson game is that we ain't winning anything with Book as our #1 qb.

Not a very good passer. He had a lot of help that makes him look better than he is.

Poor accuracy quarterbacking will stall the offense

Brian Kelly's hybrid pro-style / spread offense is all centered around a quarterback's ability to throw a highly accurate short ball, as well as a decently accurate medium range ball. Without this, the defense doesn't have to respect the spread part, and can simply stack the box and / or play short zone.

We saw this during the first third of the season with Brandon Wimbush at the helm, and all of 2017 as well. While we were able to get away with pounding the ball up the middle against the weaker teams, we certainly got badly exposed against Miami (they were sitting in single coverage, daring us to try a short pass), and would have gotten squashed against LSU if Book didn't come in.

Jalen Hurts is a fine runner, but isn't that much more accurate than Brandon Wimbush was. We'd basically be looking at a repeat of 2017 at best.
