I think he was a healthy, inactive player at the end of the season. If so, that doesn't bode well for his future in New Orleans. Any G2 on his contract situation?
He was the cornerstone on the defense. He had an incredible sense of where the ball was going. Terrible that his legacy was tarnished by the inane stories concerning his imaginary gf.
Her view on Manti is that he only played in their 3-4 sets, and they started playing more 4-3. He also came out in nickel situations. (Only two LBs in the field, and he wasn’t one of them.) Just isn’t as versatile as other LBs. (You May recall Manti struggled with pass coverage early in his ND career. I haven’t watched him enough in the pros to know if that remains a weakness.)

were playing better.
I remember Manti playing in the NO/Minnesota game and he got burned pretty bad by Kyle Rudolph (I believe) in the endzone. While Rudolph didn't make the catch, Manti didn't see playing time again until the last game of the season versus Carolina when ALL the starters were being rested for the playoffs.
I like Manti a lot but I'll be really surprised if he plays again. Things just didn't work out and yes injuries were a big part of that.
listening on the radio on the way home from a trip and the announcer repeatedly said he made several good hits. Who knows? He has been injury plagued.
