The path he chose required no maintenance, actually
Since he signed in December, the staff didn’t have to call him, worry about other schools calling him, or spend any time on his recruitment. He was in fold. Announcement or not, it doesn’t add to Notre Dame’s workload or allocation of resources. They just keep quiet and let him have his moment at his school.

No. He could not have announced at today’s ceremony back in December.
Like the other high profile recruit from his school he waited to go public until today’s ceremony at the school. Absolutely nothing wrong with that. He said throughout the process that his public announcement wasn’t going to happen until the ceremony. And if he did previously sign the LOI while waiting to make it public, that is actually a very mature way to handle it. It alleviated any worry ND might have about a last-minute flip. There is nothing that says “high maintenance” here, and your baseless criticism is ultra douchey.

I see it differently. I see a kid that really wanted some spotlight. All that is great, until it's
not. It's just like recruiting someone to work for you. Sometimes there are just warning signs you really shouldn't ignore. Hope I'm wrong. We'll see.

isn't it more than odd he's the only kid in the class that needed a press conference to announce his
decision? If ND fans are all about RKG's, his initial actions contradict that definition. I see a prima donna in the making. Might as well move him to WR. .Like I said, we'll see. I hope I'm wrong.
