Again...never want to hear anything about ND not getting athletes. It's how they're used. On you BK

But is 29th ranked really elite?

Are you kind?

He is elite, and plays a position of need.

He is one of the very best athletes in this cycle.

Uhm, he's 29th overall regardless of position, #1 all-purpose back. Yes, he's an elite prospect

Unless you were being sarcastic, I think you misunderstood the ranking. He's very close to 5* status. He only needs to pass one kid in the rankings I think.

Thread Level: 6

You are correct. I read as 29th RB.

Great question. The last few years ND RBs have been in Heisman contention until injuries set it.

Jaylon Smith was misused? I'm no BVG fan but Smith was an AA

Thread Level: 7

I would say that most fans think Jaylon was not used correctly

If he was not misused, he at least was underused. He should have been an attack dog, getting more sacks, disrupting the running lanes more. Instead he was used often as a spotter, and mostly to cover up the weaknesses of BVG's schemes.

Thread Level: 8

Hiring BVG was a terrible mistake.

Awesome! Great to beat out Bama and Oklahoma for a skill position player.

Tyree will be a difference maker. ND is rolling with landing top targets at QB, RB, WR and TE. This will be a helluva recruiting class. I’m ready for more good news tomorrow.

This one is really interesting. After coming back from Florida, McGregor set an announcement date and then went completely radio silent. He previously made some vague comments about how it'll come down to "best fit" and some more vague comments about "big campus v small campus." I don't have a clue on this one, though it is discouraging that the crystal ball people are mostly saying UM. Someone claimed there was ND stuff on his twitter page and nothing regarding UM, but I don't do twitter so I don't know. McGregor, in addition to the other DL verbals so far, would be amazing.
