Notre Dame & Ohio St. have played each other so few times. Why?

I know Notre Dame and Ohio State are scheduled to face one another in a few years but with being in neighboring states and not that far apart, why have Notre Dame and Ohio State played so few games against each other?

Speaking of Woodie, do you think his QB, Schilster threw that game when he threw the interception

against Clemson that preceded Woodie's punch of the linebacker that picked it? Schlister was driving the team easily on that series and it came out of nowhere and was a horrible interception. I loved it at the time though.

Most likely. He probably had money on the game.

credibility was lost at that point. And no, this isn't political. If my children behaved in any way remotely similar to Donny I'd disown them. A classless dickhead to say the least. And let me repeat, this has nothing to do with politics. You either know how to behave civilly or you don't. The shmuck in the White House does not. He is a stain on our great nation. Lou endorsed him. Lou lost credibility in that regard.

It left a bad taste in the administration's mouth to the point where there is probably an unwritten rule somewhere.

OSU fans are seen by far as the worst in the country. It is not even the college - mostly the townies. Hell, their AD had to send a written apology to the Texas administration after the Vince Young game.

I remember thinking to myself. Shit, I'm glad I wasn't here to witness an OSU loss. It was that bad.

I’ve seen ND at 25 (non bowl game) away locales. The worst, with Miami ‘89 a close second.

Interesting side note - Gerry Faust was a few rows in front of me, in the end zone section.

While we were tailgating that year, some tOSU fans thought that it would be funny to hurl a bunch of ice balls at us. While the bulk of their ice balls missed us, a lot of them hit the RV, resulting in some damages.

Can you imagine something like happening in the parking lot outside ND Stadium?

I've heard other stories about their classless fans. Ones that include urinating in cups or defecating in ice coolers then throwing it at opposing fans. Children & the elderly are not exempt either. How proud they must be at tOSU.

Their "security" wasn't worth anything

We complained to the security folks there, and they said that they would look into it.

Their method of "looking into it" consisted of plopping their overweight rears back on their chairs and jabbering at each other some more, while stuffing their faces with snacks.

That team was absolutely loaded with NFL talent, having NFL draft picks at every position, including a multitude of 1st rounders. The only thing holding them back was John Cooper... After all, virtually nobody else with that of a talented roster would try to run a wide option play to the short side of the field against Tennessee (even though they had Eddie George, Orlando Pace, Rickey Dudley, etc).

Thread Level: 4

Cooper was a horrific coach with the talent he got but I was sure we would beat them in 96 until

good old Emmit Mosely dropped a perfect pass from Powlus on the first drive after their first score. As far as I am concerned Mosely blew both of those games in 95 and 96 and they were far more talented than us in 95 but we could have beaten them in 96 because we were close in talent that year and Lou was ten times the coach Cooper was.
