Well two five stars who got away are returning to the fold. Bru McCoy a 5 star who signed with USC then transferred to Texas after two weeks on campus is back at USC. Now Chris Steele another 2019 five star who went to Florida wanted to come back to USC but was told no scholarships were available so he transferred to Oregon. Well what do you know, someone at USC was declared academically ineligible so Steele suddenly has a scholly and is coming back to USC to. So two 2019 five stars have joined USC after peculiar goings on.

They reached a $214 million dollar settlement because one of their OBGYNs raped women for decades. The med school dean was a god damn crackhead who was caught in a motel room with a dying crackwhore. One of their on campus doctors raped gay students and SC is being sued. All the while, the Colosseum buildout is overbudget tens of millions. If their football team can't make money by winning anymore, what the hell does that place have? Donations are drying up, they're under criminal investigation for bribes, they're losing any respectability, and they're run by grifters....

USC has plenty of money. They still have a 5 billion dollar endowment, along with plenty of alumni support, not to mention having a budget of over 5 billion dollars a year. It's still one of the most prestigious national universities out there, as the demand for a spot in their programs is at an all time high.

They'll bounce back from these scandals one way or the other.

Regarding the football team, I suspect they'll be back to their 10+ win season caliber, now that the team isn't playing a lot of true freshmen, and that they got rid of Tee Martin. That 2018 team actually came much closer to a respectable season than their record indicated.

USC got its endowment boost when C.L. Max Nikas was Pres...

He was kicked out a few months ago when it became apparent he was corrupt, lying ahole, who coverd up the scandals at the med school. Nothing indicates that USC will be in any position to continue getting the money they did under the new Pres's regime, who has to fix the school's rep before she can go any further. Add to that, they dumped $750 million in a the University Village, or whatever the hell it's called, which is only one of the building boondoggles they took on debt to create.

Where it gets really bad is the med school, where they lost accreditation for one of their most important fellowship programs. How they're going to keep getting NIH/NSF grants, donations, or corporate sponsors, when the complete fallout from the med school scandals hasn't been solved yet, is one of the biggest problems going forward. That, and The Washington Post reported that uni college endowment returns are the lowest in ten years. From memory, most endowments need an 8% return to be considered efficacious. Having a large endowment isn't important if they're not getting the returns, and given the ridicule and revelations of administrative corruption, it's hard to believe they'll get anywhere near the money they recieved prior to all of this mess. For fuck's sake, this clown school is under criminal investigation by the FEDS. Yeah, try coaxing money outta billionaires with all that happening.

Point is, USC grew way too fast, tried to get better academic credibility to offset its rep as a party school with an elite football program attached. They've fallen from grace, and, while they may become playoff team again, it remains to be seen just how long they'll be able to keep that going. Probably not as long, but we'll see...

Chris Petersen's demanded, and both sides wanted the other. If they couldn't accommodate him, I don't think they'll accommodate Da Pope. But, then again, they might need to, no matter what..,,

We can play in Ireland or Shamrock it anywhere the USN has a dinghy.

We need to play hardball with them on cut block issues.
If they balk we play them 4 times a decade.

We tell Navy we won’t play them every year unless they stop a legal blocking technique? That won’t make us look ridiculous at all.

Don't agree with your language but it IS time to drop Michigan. It serves no purpose to keep playing them.

Why not have another SEC team on the schedule, rather than SC? It would kill off SC....

It putatively helps with recruiting a rich source of talent.

I personally would be fine with keeping Stanford, and then rotating amongst UCLA, Cal Berkeley, Fresno State, et. al.

I’d drop Stanford long before even thinking about dropping SC.
