What a great young man. Was hoping he would have some success at his new team. True Freshman passed him on the depth chart.

Golson at FSU, Zaire at Florida and now, it appears, Wimbush at UCF: none were successful.

Wimbush was injured so to say he will not be successful this year is premature

He may or may not be available for next week’s Stanford game.

Thread Level: 4

Damn, really wanted to see him in that matchup for UCF instead of irish

Was any explanation given? Wimbush was named starter just a couple of days ago.

Per the Orlando Sentinel, Wimbush was to start and both QBs were going to play.

Thread Level: 3

Explanation is Wimbush still has the passing yips and always will have them

Would not discuss the specific injury and said they would have to see next week about his availability for Stanford.

Thread Level: 2

Unbelievable and the new guys first pass goes for a TD

Now to start the fourth quarter Jones is playing QB. Maybe Wimbush got hurt Friday?

Thread Level: 5

Mostly awful save a couple of tosses for uncovered TDs though.

A last minute change of starter, then Wimbush doesn’t play at all. I’m guessing there is more to this story.

Thread Level: 6

Would have thought he needed reps to get ready for their biggest game of the year

Thursday coach said he would start and Saturday he doesn’t play. I guess we will find out whether it was injury or something else.

Sure does.

Gabriel threw 3 TD passes last week and played better than Wimbush

I still wish Wimbush had stayed at ND to back up Book if Jurkovec can’t get the job done

Throwing 3 Td's against the backups in a BLOWOUT🤔🤔, Gabriel is very inaccurate granted he can throw Td's to guys 5 yds open he is about 4/15 passing!

Thread Level: 5

Actually he threw 2 of his 3 TDS in the first half last week.

Maybe they are just giving him as much playing time as possible to see if they want to red shirt him. Or maybe he is better than Wimbush. I guess time will tell.

Yeah, . . they mixed him in early. And he played well.

Gabriel had an okay night tonight. 245 yards and two passing TDS. But let’s be honest, if Wimbush went 7/19 all we would be hearing about is his lack of accuracy.

Thread Level: 7

Probably, but 245 yards on 7 completions with no turnovers is not too bad
