Setting aside the "they're out to get us" hyperbole, do you think the punishments for ND and UNC were fair in a comparative sense? And do you disagree that Gilman's denial of waiver is perplexing, given that he had an actual reason and the waivers seem to be given out liberally? I will just front my position: I can't square the punishment disparity between ND and UNC given the facts. And I've long said Gilman had as good an argument for waiver as any I've heard. But I also agree too many fans go to the "they are out to get us" well too easily and reflexively on too many items.
