10 out of the 17 recruits are 4 or 5 stars. That's 58.8%, which would put the Irish in at #10.

I also suspect that lowering Tyree and Johnson to 4 star status had a bit more of an impact on overall ratings than most folks may have initially thought.

Still, looking at the class, it's an excellent one that fills the needs, while also stocking up on some highly underrated athletes who will be getting significant playing time.

True but, Recruiting is arguably the most important aspect of college football in terms of competing

for a National Championship. In the era of the College Football Playoff, the average national title team in the past six years has averaged 3.2 top ten classes in the four years prior to a title & no title team has ever finished below 16 in the rankings.
