Losing Deion Colzie stinks...

Kelly promised a Top 5 class, saying he now understands how to accomplish that goal, and is cognizant that he needs to improve in the area.

Awesome.

As Tom Brady Sr. would say, "A job well done is better than words well spoken".

ND lacks elite play makers. We know it, Kelly knows it, the team knows it, opposing teams know it, anyone with eyes can see it.

You absolutely HAVE land players like Deion Colzie. When you do land them, you have to keep them.

I am fully aware these are trying times for everyone, but every school is faced with the same issues right now in recruiting. It has NOT slowed down Ohio State.. go look at the 3 recruits they landed (and 1 RB transfer) in the last week.

** Ohio Sate, some of you are going to say, are the anomaly and that IS a fair point- but OSU is a team you are chasing. They can get it done, why cant Notre Dame.

I'm pretty pissed about this decommitment. Its a bad look, it kills momentum, and its a bad omen.

GET THE DAMN JOB DONE and deliver on what you promised us. A TOP 5 CLASS THAT IS ELITE TO THE TOP 5 STANDARD!!!

I live in New Orleans I feel south FLA and NW LA are the best athletes generally

Maybe he looked deeper into the roster and realizes that potentially he won't be the man his

Freshman year and does not want to compete, or wants to be told that he will be The Man his Freshman year.
If that's the case, good luck to him and it's a good thing he goes somewhere else.

Wait and see where he goes before making up stories about competition.....

you have to land these kids.

ND seems to be well with the 3 star projects, but it takes time and its more of a crap shoot.

Clemson, OSU, Bama, Oklahoma, Georgia= their skills play RIGHT AWAY. There is no incubation stage in the proverbial "oven".

You can be a Top 5 recruiting team and NOT land these kids.

This is a huge loss in every way you look at it- if Del Alexander cant land the kids, then find someone who can... or continue to 10-2 every year.

Who was the last 5 star playmaker we landed? Floyd?

"Playmaker"

On offense - Greg Bryant
On defense- Jaylon Smith or Max Redfield (both 5*)

of course. If he doesn't want to be here of course we shouldn't want him.

It's not the point. It's the macro issue, you follow?

Kelly is a good but not great recruiter. He is not great at developing high end talent, particularly at QB.

Kelly’s coaches are above average but not elite.

If Kelly is just now figuring out he needs to recruit better then he is a total dipshit.
