It’s clear they are being very cautious. But no way does this mean a football season. Take 100
Players and coaches together in close contact never going to happen in August without a vaccine. And how do you put 80k together in the stands.

Reading the Fine Print
The announcements today said classes start Aug 10, but as to summer programs they announced they're considering "allow[ing] the return of a very small number of students in July, mainly those whose summer work is preparatory for the fall semester." That means football training kicking off July 6th, baby!
Completely unfounded guesses: (A) Culver still happens before the start of the school year, (B) a more reasonable travel schedule heading into the Navy game in Annapolis, (C) a home opener on the 12th against Arkansas, and (D) the Pac-12 schools go conference only, which would mean the season ends on 11/21.
