He is atoning for his " sins " now by encouraging NFL teams to hire the multi-million dollar Nike profit-prophet.

He kept insisting on getting "starter" money even though he wasn't even the locked-in starter at the 49ers when he started his protest. There were at least two teams that would have signed him for back-up money (Ravens being one off the top of my head) but he insisted on starter money. Our buddy Pete said he would have hired him but didn't want to create the perception that Wilson wasn't the starter and that Kaepernick deserved a chance to be a starter quality. I'm sure that he was probably better than some starting qbs at that time but just because some franchises are "risk averse," doesn't mean the the NFL as an entity colluded to not hire him. The problem is, I suspect, from a legal standpoint it only takes two to create a "conspiracy" and the NFL decided to cut it loses because chances are that somewhere two teams or two owners exchanged emails/conversations/phone calls that would reflect poorly on the league in front of a jury. Once the arbitrator determined the case could go to court, the NFL cut it's losses under the specter of discovery and settled.

Nike endorsement money. NFL settlement. Kap has a great thing going without any risk of injury. Just

Kaepernick was already pretty badly dinged up by the time he was unemployed. If I recall correctly, he had multiple surgeries in those last 1.5 years of his time with the 49'ers, and running quarterbacks who have injury question marks are a poor commodity indeed.

If Robert Griffin III can't find anything other than a backup position (with his much superior arm and decision making) these days, I strongly doubt anyone would think about signing Kaepernick except for political reasons.

I suspect that Pete Carroll simply wanted to win a few brownie points with the politically correct crowd with his words, or else he would have taken a chance on him later.

He was already not considered a good QB who could elevate your games. While he did a decent job as a game manager during Jim Harbaugh's years there, with that supporting cast around him (and that excellent defense), you could probably have stuck Ryan Leaf in as the starter, and they would have done just as well. Keep in mind, I strongly disliked Jim Harbaugh, even before he became a coach, so it's not pleasant giving Harbaugh some praise... .

When that defense was dismantled, and Kaepernick was called upon to be the one who could make the difference, he couldn't do it. The best he could do was shine during garbage time when defenses were playing deep zones to bleed off the clock, willing to sacrifice points and yards in order to kill off the remaining time.

Just as a reference, the list of available free agent QB's out there shows that there are plenty of better choices.

No critical thinking skills, no logic, no concern for facts. Ignorant all the way around.

Agreed and definitely not a great list of attributes for a starting QB

Truth, honesty and moral compass have no place when money's at stake.

when they decide they must return. The players won't agree in the first place to lowered salaries so that hurdle is just the beginning. Then they will see extreme loss in profits when people will decide to not tune in. Can't say they were not warned back with the kneeling. Anyone have enough money to start another league now? This league could blossom and overtake the NFL easily if done the right way, even with lesser talent potentially on the field. The only way we have sports is with 2 systems, the billionaire owner system and the "love of the game" system. I know which side I'm on.

Without high school sports, looks like the enemy will have really won in destroying communities as well. OPEN YOUR EYES AMERICA

Ross Browner should have won the heisman
