1.) Builds some “herd immunity” on the team before the general student population comes back to campus.
2.) Better now than during the season.
3.) Most of these players are likely healthy, and will be either asymptotic or mild cases.
4.) Plenty of room in the hospitals now for any players that get a severe case.
It is probably just a matter of time before the majority of people get it...
Let’s hope it doesn’t hit ND with a dozen players the week before the Clemson game this fall.
Young, healthy people are not at any serious risk and will build immunity.
with it two weeks before that game and more and more of for the next several weeks completing their season with only a couple of games played
