Hey

UHND IS THE NEW NDNATION.

Yes, you're missing something. The kid competed and made it into the final elite 11.

Apparently he had some issues with mechanics, but still finished among the top group of quarterbacks in the country.

Liberty is an opportunity for doing good, but only when it is also an opportunity for doing wrong...

him at E11 and a few of his throws, without 300lb dudes rushing him, were underwhelming--seemed to lack sharpness. Perhaps things improved some throughout the time he was there. I guess I'm forever hopeful that we will get a game changer at the position after missing badly on some others that were deemed "CAN'T MISS." He's been successful. Why fuck with his mechanics?

during BK's tenure. He's turned them all into indecisive dumpster fires who can't see the forest for the trees.

After awhile, one has to look at the common denominator behind all the wasted talent.

"Why fuck with his mechanics?" Because BK, that's why.

That's stupid are you here from the Clemson board and trying to discourage recruits?

help recruiting QB's against ND. They've got all the material they need, to sway any top QB from ND, in the game footage of Crist, Hendrix, Golson, Zaire, Kizer and Wimbush at the end of their ND careers.

By my count, that's 1 QB (Rees) out of 7 that improved under BK's tutelage.

Clemson, nor anyone else, needs my help recruiting QB's against ND, BK's done all the work for them.

Golson got better too but the awful call changed everything. He made great improvements

as 2012 went on and in fact showed up against Alabama when so many did not. He was doing really well in 2014 until the bad call and even played well against LSU in his partial time. Zaire was ready to have a great year and had us up by two TD's if you count Procise's 26 yard TD run the play after his injury as his drive. He was never the same after that injury. Wimbush was always going to be a running QB, Crist got hurt. Hendrix and great measureables but was never a QB. I think Book has developed beyond expectations and has a chance to really show up if we play this year.

to change their mechanics. The kid has obviously been pretty dominant come game time. The key is can he beat you with both his arm and his legs ala Trevor Lawrence, DeShawn Watson, Justin Fields and Joe Burrow? Is surrounded by enough talent or have enough moxy to beat you on a bad day?

spectacular success last year and his 5 star ranking. He clearly did not perform up to his hype at the E11, whereas several other QBs did better. Not a disaster by any means, but a bit disconcerting to us fans who have placed a lot of pressure on him to take ND to the next level.

Let's not put too much hope on any one kid. We need to build the overall strength of recruiting, ie consistently getting 4 star recruits.

I must tell you that I find our recruiting the most disappointing aspect of what I've seen from Kelly. I thought he'd absolutely dominate in Indy and Chicago, but he hasn't. As a result, as it presently stands, we're casting a very wide net without a great base. It's great that we're getting kids from Hawaii, but how about we just own Chicago like LSU owns Louisiana. The result of our 'casting about' recruiting (more often than not) is that we're then the bridesmaid, not the bride. When I look at how a good USC program (as opposed to what's happening now) can start with a good, solid foundation from southern CA and build from there, or how UNC is getting great talent all from North Carolina, we're falling behind them.

Hell, we don't even recruit as well as Penn State, a school that was on the verge of the being shut down 7 years ago! Seriously, Penn State's success is 100% an indictment of ND.

I think we are too easy on ourselves on that one. We are losing a lot of these battles, straight up losing them. If you look at the top 20 from all states that even touch Indiana, ND has 1 of the top 20 from these states. Do you really believe that none of these guys are qualifiers? I was at ND during the early 90s (when they purported to tighten things a bit), and I certainly don't remember classes being full of Rhodes Scholars (...not that I was either). I think the Admin at ND hides a bit behind "we're special, we're a private school" to be satisfied with being a bridesmaid, and I think we (fans) make it pretty easy on them by excusing away recruiting based on academics.
