I'm not really seeing ND being a factor. The driver seems more political than anything else. On

both the reason for cancelling and the pressure to resume.

ND insisted on playing ACC in order to join ACC. It drove the ACC not to follow B1G along with Clem

If ACC had followed B1G and PAC12 as it otherwise would have done, then the other dominoes would have fallen.

Thread Level: 3

I think ND was a factor. The rest of the Power 5 not following B1G and Pac 12 was the driver though.

made the initial decision.

It was watching others play and recover some money that made them reverse

They thought rest of Power 5 and ND would follow and sat there with egg on their face when they didn't.

the board.

Our new normal seems to be roughly 28 pts per game. Not that impressive by today's standards.

The offense averaged 37 points per game last year. Are you judging the new normal by one game?

Some people judge the whole season by the first half of the first game

Which is stupid considering the non practice in the spring, the attenuated fall practice, and the need to integrate a lot of young, unproven but very talented players into the mix.

Thread Level: 6

Actually some people are willing to make a stmt that might be found unpopular. Before it actually

happens. You should try jumping on something before it becomes a bandwagon. You might like it rather than continuously naysaying and following my post with gripes and moans.

This totally contradicts your griping earlier about who else would we play at WR - "need to integrate a lot of young, unproven but very talented players into the mix" if you feel there is this great need for unproven talent to play, then why would you say who could we have possibly played at WR?????

your post... mostly just SMH.
