We physically beat these guys up last night.

I don't think it would have mattered if Lawrence or their other guys played. Each time ND has played a team this year, the players on the other team start to fall over. I didn't ever think I'd see that with a Clemson team but it happened last night. They had their hands on their hips at the end of the game because we outright were more physical and bullied them at the LOS. Also, give Kelly credit for using the wristbands and switching that up so they couldn't steal our signals. I have to wonder if that's why they were able to "see" what we were doing during the 2015 game since I seem to remember something about how we had to make big adjustments at halftime during that one, and I'll bet they were stealing signs during the Cotton Bowl also.

Scouting is a good part of the game.

In this day and age of no huddle / hurry up offenses, sometimes going old school can be an excellent changeup.

I know he came to ND without much hype. Everyone was excited about Darnell Ewell in that class. Kurt panned out well.
