Apparently he's a big time elite kicker once committed to Colorado Buffs.

Jack, he is a banker

Bryan's addition bumped ND into the top 10 classes at 247.

If that kid from OU flips ND's way, . . .

Josh Bryan is making a sacrifice to kick for ND. Field goals travel a lot further in mile high air.

And the Colorado offense would have given him far more long distance attempts than the Irish.

Not just that, but Doerer announced an intent to return next season.

So Bryan's coming to ND knowing he (likely) won't get the PK job in year 1. Maybe he'll handle KOs. It's a strong pick up regardless, . . one that doesn't really show up in "recruiting rankings."

Looks like he has plenty of leg power in "normal" air

I posted the link below, but take a look at his kicks under "normal" atmospheric conditions.

Strong leg.

My gosh that was impressive. I always wonder about them kicking in shorts rather than full uniform

if that makes any difference. A punter too, that is great.

Take a top kicker every two years. Difference makers when you can mail in 3 from 40-50 without any ?

He's got a strong, accurate leg from either side of the hash marks, and can also punt. His mechanics are sound, very consistent, and it looks effortless and relaxed when he does a long kick.

What I especially like about him, is that he can hit those 60 yard FG's without needing any extra steps while advancing towards the ball. It's almost like a "quick kick" for most kickers.

While it's a "practice" video, it's still pretty darn impressive.
