Notre Dame name already helping ACC.

With the Irish beating Clemson this will be more than a regional rivalry. The two games against Boston College & North Carolina went from the ACC Network to ABC. Now the ball is in ND's corner if they want to join.

not just one season the causal relations between whose events is not clear, but that one season being the non-generalizable covid season? That would be rational.

conference. USC every year and another game for rotating opponents. Stanford, Michigan, Ohio State, Georgia, Alabama, Oklahoma, Pedophile U, Wisconsin. Or Navy, W. Virginia, of someone like that. We saved the ACC and College football, but the ACC gave us the opportunity to save them and now we have a legitimate chance for a national title.

I agree. I'd like to keep USC and a early season tune up. Would love to dump Stanford.

I think that ND can do better than that

This season the ACC did away with divisions and the two teams with the best winning percentages play in the ACC Championship game. Why not keep that format going forward, but with a 7-game conference schedule minimum with the proviso that you must play every ACC team once every two years. ND could thus play 7 conference games and still have 5 out of conference games against USC, Alabama, Michigan, etc.

Some teams like North Carolina might play 9-conference games in order to play in-state schools Duke, Wake Forest and NC-State every year plus still meet the requirement of playing every ACC school once every two years. Some schools might play only 8-conference games. Since the two teams in the conference championship is based on winning percentage, it is not necessary for each school to play the same number of conference games.

In order to get ND into the football conference, I am willing to bet that not only would the ACC jump at this, but they would also let ND keep the NBC contract going forward.

Not bad thinking how about 8, 7 a little low, and yes eliminate the two divisions

DO NOT JOIN THE ACC!

If you look at the big picture, ND Independence is our golden ticket. Joining the ACC for a year proved we don't need a conference.

- Our schedule is weaker in the ACC.
- We have to play a Clemson twice to get in the Playoff.
- We already get all the recruits & regional attention in the ACC by playing 5 ACC games/year
- We would ultimately lose our NBC contract benefits.

It does not PAY to join a conference!

I heard some talking head call the ACC the "Also Catholic Conference" recently.
