Purdue was robbed of a victory against Minnesota last night.

The back judge called a phantom PI on the Purdue TE who caught what should have been the game winning touchdown with 44 seconds left.

Minnesota then got a game-sealing interception on the next play and won 34-31.

It just summoned up memories of a similar situation in the 2014 FSU game when the game was stolen from us.

I watched that game and was shocked when that happened. One of the worst calls I've ever seen.

There should be a consequence for that referee.

Thread Level: 3

There likely will be. We just don't hear about it

Reminded me of the clipping call in the Rocket’s punt return against Colorado.

Although I’m not a huge fan of video review in general because of the way it breaks up the flow of the game, if you are going to have it, that type of thing should be reviewable.

Or the “face mask” against Boston College

Yes! I replayed that a couple of times, and there just wasn't a face mask.

I just rewatched the Purdue play, . . you can see the flag flying in as the ball was dropping into the TE's hands. I think the Big 10 is going to have to make a statement on that one.

Thread Level: 2

That was just bizarre.

There was nothing even close to PI on that play.
