a lot of them, about ND having showdowns with 'Bama in the CFP, you should be focused 1st and foremost on this UNC game (Mac Brown will have his kids up for this one!), to a lesser degree, 'Cuse, WF and possibly playing/beating Miami and/or Clemson again in the ACC Championship!!!

Agree that some posters are taking some things for granted. But that's just what fans do.
Idle talk and speculation, often including unfounded observations and unreasonable expectations. I'm extremely worried about UNC. If I did predictions, I'd be tempted to pick UNC. Some fans are not worried, and expect the Irish to roll. Neither side of it is going to impact the team or influence any outcomes. I do think you touch on an interesting point regarding how fans view things depending on whether they played the game or not. I think there is something to that.

It's ok. Players and staff need to be focused. The old one game at a time. Fans sit in recliners, eat wings, drink beer, and talk.....a lot. Fans can talk about the 2022 schedule if they want because they have no bearing on the game. Fans will be fans, whether at ND, Bama, Patriots or Blackhawks. We are all the same.
