I see Bama at 1 lvl above ND, Clemson at a 1/2 level above when fully healthy, & OSU 1/2 lvl below

I think we have a shot to beat Clemson again, but I don't see anyone beating Alabama this year based on what I see.

It is shocking how very bad the Big 10 & PAC 12 are. Watching the Northwestern/MSU game, I felt like I was watching a high school game.
The Big 12 is also crap.

I would only categorize the first six teams in the present CFP rankings as very good. There is a massive drop off after that.

ND OL v Bama DL will determine our ability to compete. Clemson is even.

Clemson throttled Pitt with ease yesterday.

Nope. Pure pro, including game day wages.

Alabama's wide receivers are definitely a cut above, but other than that I think we are

I’d put ND’s O-line, including Tight Ends and Front-7 on D against anyone. They are so far better and more importantly deeper than 2012, or 2018. Alabama is a level up only on receivers.

I'm talking about the teams as a whole.

While I tend to agree with that, I'm not quite sold on Bama's defense.

I'll be interested to see what Florida does against them. I'm certain Clemson could put up points on them and ND too. Question is if we could run the ball effectively. Gotta either have a shootout or keep their offense off the field.

But yes, they appear to be a level above.

I don't believe illusions because too much is for real.
