Why put themselves through another grueling game, while OSU sits on the couch all season and is gifted a spot in the playoffs?
They would meet in the playoffs (#2 vs. #3).
Kind of reminds me of when Rocket Ismail played for Notre Dame

Love to see CFP freeze selection "field" after regular season ends this weekend...
and tell conferences to go play their championships but playoff selection will be based on "book of work" through regular season only. That would send shivers up spines of all these imposters. ND and Alabama playing full seasons undefeated should be worth something. If college football wants to use conference championships as de facto quarterfinals, then let them construct a true 8 team playoff.
