ND vs. Clemson in Playoff Championship Scenario

If ND beats Clemson in the ACC championship and then loses to Clemson in the playoff championship, who wins the title? ND would be 2-1 against Clemson. Would it be a split title with AP going Irish and Coaches poll going Clemson?

I know...a lot has to happen first, but an interesting scenario. It reminds me of '93 when FSU won title after ND beat them.

Whomever wins the game on Jan 11 in Miami wins the Championship

I have a feeling that there is enough animus against Notre Dame that a loss in the ACC Championship game, even if it is within the point spread, could very well keep them out of the final 4.

Whoever wins the playoff wins the Championship. That's why we have it. Not complicated.

Whoever wins the playoff is the champ. End of story.

Kind of reminds me of when Rocket Ismail played for Notre Dame

Alabama would get their 45th title.

playoffs. Their 2-1 record against Clemson would mean nothing as to the overall title given a playoff loss...

That said. A 2 loss Clemson team wouldn’t go to the CFP. ND only (potentially)plays them a third time with a close loss in the ACC Championship game.
