If Clemson were to lose another close game, who's to say they shouldn't be in the playoff? Two loss

es to the same team shouldn't be grounds for eviction if they "appear" to be two of the four best teams.

Thread Level: 2

Which of the two is the “ unlikely “ part?

IMHO. I don't think a 6 win OSU should get in, despite their pre-season potential. 6 wins is not 11.

I don't believe Ohio State would get in over Florida.

They would hate to pull 2 from the S.E.C., but I don't think they would leave out the conference champ for a 6-game team.

In the highly unlikely event Florida beats Alabama, it gets really weird.

I think Florida is out unless they destroy Alabama and we know the likelihood of that. Since the NCAA has already established a precedent for picking a non-conference winner, the big question is does A&M get in if Florida wins?

I think that OSU is in if they beat NW and the rationale will be the same one that the Big Ten used to let Ohio State in.

Assuming the most predicable outcomes, it will be Alabama, Clemson, OSU, ND unless ND gets smoked by Clemson.

Who is the 4th team if Alabama, ND and Clemson are in and OSU isn't?

Like I said, it's 2020!

Don't see a two-loss Florida going...but they'll have 3 anyway...

Wouldn't Texas AM get in over Florida better record and head to head win?

Seriously - what's your take on ND in this rematch?

Mine - ND made a great many mistakes in SB where they should have put up 15 to 21 more points in regulation.
If ND plays without these mistakes, I think they win this thing by 10 or better.
Somehow, Book has got to get a couple of long ball tosses but to whom, I don't know. Oh and Kyren Williams needs
to do what he did in the first game - exceptional blocking otherwise Book will be on his back all game.

If I'm Clemson, I would attack ND's secondary all evening. Lawrence is good enough and tricky enough to expose ND's
secondary.

Good points. I thought of some of that after the game.

On one hand, I was disappointed we let it get to O.T. when we had a chance to pad a bigger lead. But on the other, I liked seeing that when we had to exchange punches in crunch time, we did it and won.

On the game, I don't like our chances. The game is close to their home. They re at full strength, whereas we are less than we were at that time on the O.L. And personally, I just don't like rematches. It's hard to do it twice.

Agree rematches are terrible.

If I were Clemson and I hate even saying that, I would put a scout on Book and keep him in the pocket. I hope they don't.

We need to avoid that at all costs. Win or keep it very close and we are in the CFP.

I think they would...FL has two losses and just lost to an unranked team. Which is why Bama will stomp them in any event....but hey, would love to see it happen!
