Brian Kelly lowers the boom on the CFP committee and the Rose Bowl cronyism.

I suspect that this could come back to bite us if we lose. I loathe the CFP - it is a farce, but if we lose, we likely will receive little mercy from the committee.

Take care of business against Clemson before whining about accommodations in the CFP.

And it is whining. Sends the message that his team wants mommy and daddy in the stands or they will take their ball and go home.

It’s not our party. We are not yet invited.
Shut up and play football,

Worry about Clemson. Solely.

It is idiotic to threaten a boycott before you have assured participation.

Kelly is a fool on this one.

If you are focused on who’s in the stands you aren’t paying full attention to who is on the field.

It was dumb.

As dumb as you challenging me.

Have you ever competed at a high level?

I seriously doubt it, internet tough guy.

Thread Level: 5

Again, it’s a press conference. Stop acting scared that this will have an impact on the game

If you played D-1 ball like me, you’d understand that.

Now, if you listened to the entire press conference you would also realize that Kelly said his statements are being driven by his players who are concerned. Should Kelly not stick up for his players? You’d BLAST him if he told them to screw off and stop worrying about their parents.

Come on bud, I gotta toughen you up. Haha

Scared?
You must be one of those super-sensitive subalums who think they can intimidate people who disagree with you by challenging their manhood on the internet.

Doesn’t work with me.

You are entitled to your opinion.

I am entitled to mine.

Save the alpha male crap for your
next reunion.

Cheers.

You are right. I’m just getting annoyed by people acting like ND should sit on the sidelines with their head down. We were “bullies” at one point and it’s sad to see our own fans not even have any swagger anymore. But I get it. It’s been awhile.

Sorry again.

We want ND to win.
We want them to be fearless.
We want them to play smart on the field.

Frank Leahy would have you believe that every opponent he faced was formidable.
He never looked ahead.

Then he would lead his lads onto the field and crush them.

Go Irish. Beat Tigers.

Peace. To you and everyone but Clemson.

Personally, I doubt this issue matters much to him. Probably easier to play where they can't have fans b/c there would be less distractions. But it's very important for the kids to have their parents there in what will likely be the biggest game of their lives.

Him going to bat for them is just one of many examples of what makes him a good leader, and why this team is playing so hard for him.

As long as it’s the same for both teams it’s fair.

Boycotting the game would not benefit his players.

If ND doesn’t beat Clemson or at least keep the game close, he won’t have to worry where the FBS playoff games are played. If he wants to threaten staying home for the playoffs at least make sure you get there first.

Thread Level: 3

btw, the term "Rose Bowl" apparently is owned by the City of Pasadena or some such entity, so the CFP can't move it to Arlington and call it the Rose Bowl unless they are allowed to.

I betting if no fans are allowed in Cali, something will be worked out.

You could call it “The RoseBowl” anywhere, and find a venue where families could attend and still maintain Wuhan distance. It is only fair to the players, for once.

Brian Kelly is the big brunt of jokes. He gets what he wants of not playing in Rose bowl and draws Bama.

Notre Dame is trying to change its image of shit*ng the bed in big situations. This would be a big blow to that.

Thread Level: 4

Even better asthetics (if we lose) would be to go in as #4 seed and knock Bama off as 20pt dogs.

I'd take that. Any scenario where ND is on top at the end is good asthetics, obviously.
