Will we show up with the same ole game plan ? Or do we do anything else offensively?
If we go into this with the same ole Vanilla, we are getting killed.

Ok what game plan do we show up with. Oh I know misdirections, play action passes, stretch the
defense with some speed, screen passes. Face it the two teams in the country better than us simply have excellent talent versus our very good talent. We just have to play at our best and have them play enough below their best. It is still better to have a shot at the title than no shot and we are just one of four teams that can win the title that have not yet.

We'll see nothing different.
It'll be the same worn out vanilla offense from around 2011. Nothing will change.

I understand and respect the frustration and emotion in that opinion....but
with any rational thinking and reasoning, I can't imagine Kelly and Rees at the very least not coming to grips with the necessity to apply new wrinkles and strategies to counter Bama;s strengths and tendencies. At least I would bet Tommy can embrace that and Kelly will grapple with it. Maybe I am just dumb though.

If Book throws the ball downfield ND will score. It won’t be enough, but they’ll put up points
Problem is, they’ll need to score 50 to probably have a chance.

No the best chance is keeping the score down and frustrating them when they cannot make big plays
therefore making them more apt to make mistakes.

If you think ND is gonna line up and do 3 yards and a cloud of dust against Bama then you
Didn’t watch the Clemson game.
Bama is going to take away the run and underneath passes and force Book to throw downfield. If he does and has success they’ll be able to get those other stuff going and run a little clock.
But if you want a repeat of Clemson, use yours strategy

Mix in zone read designed for IB to pull it early to keep Bama honest on the edges. Line up from under center and run and mix in more PA naked boot. It was almost unstoppable against Clemson.

Agree with the bootleg, but Book has not been good with zone read
We've run that a few times this year, and he has not shown he can make the quick decision to pull this off successfully
