I have agreed with much of what you said in the past but I disagree here. Recruiting makes a huge
difference and it is simply proven by the success Lou Holtz had when he achieved consensus number 1 recruiting ranks for about 4 out of 5 years and the off year may have been a 2nd rated recruiting class. If you notice Lou fell off when the recruiting classes started to fall a bit. Losing Randy Moss was huge.

I think the point is the recruiting rankings are so subjective. Look at Dabo's classes prior to...
His first win...he got a great 4-star player in Deshaun Watson but on average his classes were lower than Kelly's in that same period. Why did he win an NC? He coaches to like an executive...BK coaches like a manager.
