If Buchner is as good as advertised, he will be in the competition. If he's not ready (which would be understandable) he can sit and learn for 1 year and then compete with Pyne to start in 2022.

or experience against high level HS competition means he's got a lot of growing and learning ahead of him. The tools are all there though.
