Coan is obviously much taller than both the other QBs.

True, almost all of the QB's, especially the ones having at least a reasonable amount of success, are at least 6 feet tall, and even then, that's on the short end of things.
Just off the top of my head, the only two in recent history who were under that benchmark are Russell Wilson and Kyler Murray.
A QB has to be able to see over those earth movers blocking for him, and every inch counts if you're below that benchmark. In today's game, those five big ugly guys protecting you have gotten a couple of inches taller compared to what we saw 20-30 years ago, and now even 6' 3" is considered "short" for an offensive guard, much less a tackle...
When you're young, strong, and can run around in the pocket, or even scramble, height isn't quite as much of an issue, but with all of those QB runs, sooner or later, they're going to take their toll on you.
Drew Brees may have been listed as 6' 0", but when you get to that age, and spinal compression occurs, along with flattening of the feet, I wouldn't be surprised if he were closer to 5' 10" by the end of his career. He's probably the exception to the above rule, since he was so familiar with his receivers, their timings, their routes, and he was so accurate and precise with his throws, that he's always been able to get away with it.
just a hair shorter than Book

attitude and fire are unmatched. On the field together...watch out. Keys was blazing down the field on the TD catch from Pyne, very impressive.
If the staff plays it right they should be able to get just as much or more production out of Kyren while at the same time reducing his touches a little. Getting Tyree and C'bo more work should accomplish that.
Coach Balis will have him in even better condition this fall, since Williams will now be in year 3 of the program. Those extra 5-10 pounds of quality muscle go a long way towards keeping you healthy during the season, especially as it wears on.
Also, I fully expect Chris Tyree to pick up more of the load on a regular basis, now that he's had a full year of collegiate experience, and an extra off-season of practice and training. Sometimes I dream of seeing the day that we can have two 1000+ yard rushers on the team.
I do hope that we can use Estime on a regular basis, given that he's a true power back with great speed for his size.
I sort of see a role for Estime as this years version of Marc Edwards back when he was a freshman - Short yardage/goal line hammer.
We scored 12 points against Syracuse and KW had to tote the ball 25 times. We scored 27 points against Duke, a team which went 1-9 in the ACC and let up an average of 38 points per game.
With a team as talented as we have this year, there are a number of teams on our schedule that we should blow out and, if we do, there will be lots of opportunity to rest KW and keep him fresh.
Another way would be to find a 3rd down back. KW took a ton of hits picking up blitzes and protecting Book that, really, someone else could have taken.
all the stuff you mentioned and was my favorite point in your article.
Kelly and Rees are both very smart offensive minds and it would appear that they are truly trying to find their way to make a creative and dynamic offense. I think Kelly is very talented and Rees is tough enough to tell him when he's wrong or challenge him. I think Kelly respects Rees enough to listen to him and take his thoughts into consideration. I think that kind of offensive IQ, that kind of working relationship and having the kind of offensive talent we will have this season bodes very well.
