Irv & IU

I wonder if there is another player so synonymous with an opponent than Irv is with I.U. I mean you mention "Notre Dame vs. IU" and I don't know of a ND fan that doesn't immediately mention Irv. There's a lot of memorable plays with opponents such as USC, U of M, etc... that we play frequently, but for the more infrequent opponents, I U is just always going to be associated with Irv making their entire secondary his bitch on that play.

The Zellars run against Purdue was sheer beauty and beast at the same time. But this one ain't too bad for 2nd place: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ZDZ6v2fzeo

However, I think Brock Spack's look of utter hopelessness was the best part of the 2005 game!!!

I'm sure there are a lot of older ones too, but when I think of Purdue, those are the two I think of (other than Davies complete incompetence in '99)

I wasn't born yet but my Dad attended and passed the program onto me. BTW: Irish won 42-6.
