Just because ND is ranked ahead of Cincinnati even though the Bearcats won does not mean UC is the better team. Yes, they were better that day, but if the teams played 100 times, ND might win 70 times. That's what his algorithm measures, in effect.
Having teams with equal records out of order from head to head is one thing, having teams with worse records who also lost head to head ranked higher is F'ing laughable.
Mathematics is great, when everything is standardized/universal... college football isn't!
All teams don't play same opponents in same order, at same location...way too many variables for math to be the way to rank football, especially college football teams.
Math is good to a point and can be used as a guide, but there has to be certain key things that are adjusted for (like head to head results) and until his algorithm can be fixed so head to head play carries VASTLY more weight, this system is pure garbage.
