Mayer. He’s a big wide receiver at the moment at 6’3”, 220. On film he’s a terrific receiver and his blocking is a work in progress. Wonder if they may somehow use him as a hybrid.
“ The 6’3 215-pound tight end is going to bring excellent passing ability and athleticism. His offer list speaks for itself as well. Larsen is a catch-first tight end and has outstanding hands. He’s quick and can get down the field especially in the sweet spot being linebackers.
His ability to separate is key too for his size. He’s quick off the snap and is a very solid route runner. He uses his hips well and gets out of his break with ease, making it extremely difficult for linebackers to stay on him in coverage. I think he’s still growing and if that’s the case and he maintains his agility and quickness he could be in for a massive senior season. Regardless he could be very special whether that’s standing to 6’3 like he is now or 6’5 if there’s a tad more room to grow. I have no doubt he will be getting stronger and stronger which will benefit him greatly if he’s needed more as a run blocker at times once he gets to South Bend.”

He just finished his sophomore year, and has plenty of room to grow. By the time he leaves high school, he ought to be 240+ and show more muscle mass.
By the time Coach Balis gets a couple of years of S&C with this kid, he's going to be a wrecking ball. He has plenty of upside.
