After going through Davie, the O'leary egg on the face debacle, Willingham & Weis, BK turned the program completely around. Saban has owned college football with Dabo in his shadow. SEC schools LSU & Georgia have also won National Championships but Kelly put the Irish back on the map. No, he didn't win a National Championship but we were back to being in the hunt. The writing is on the wall. If offered Notre Dame belongs in the Big Ten where they would be a perfect fit.
One that knows how to manage the talent on the roster. Kelly got talent to ND but had no idea how to use it and more often than not benched the talent or underdeveloped it.

ND won in spite of Kelly not because of him.
I don't hold losing to Alabama & Clemson against him. They were killing everyone including each other. The one time they did play Clemson at home (in front of 10,000 Irish fans) they won.
He brought the program back to relevance and outside of a few select teams, got us right up there just below them. Now it's time for MF to raise the bar even higher. And it will soon be time for ND to join the B10. NCAA football is drastically changing and the Big 10 would be a perfect fit (MSU, Michigan, Ohio State, USC, Purdue, Indiana etc). How could it not be?
