I know it's just Hudl highlights but some of his best clips were against Cincy St. X who was absolutely loaded with talent. He shined against the top teams in Ohio.

Great pick up the Irish. The kid can play safety and wide receiver. And remember fellow Irish fans. You can’t reach speed. ND needs all the speed it can get.

Guy ran 10.47 with a slight tailwind and has run 10.7 against the wind he can definitely move, will come in as a legit 10.5 guy.
given his high school, I'm thinking this also might be where Freeman's connections to the area help

Yup
Lakota West is a big school, basically in far north Cinci but not too far from Dayton. No doubt both Freeman and Mickens spent a lot of time there during their respective tenure at OSU and Cincinnati.
