When we can't run the ball and the opposing D is getting pressure, then we'll find out what we are made of on offense.
I'm glad we were able to kick the crap out of UNC to head into the bye week on a high and to help with recruiting. Gives us two weeks to figure it out.
with plays from this week and not the ones from his entire career before that.
This week looked much like a Chip Long called game, and so did the first half of last year's bowl game. If Rees is smart, he will move away from the crap he was doing and build off these two instances.
Things fell in place yesterday, where the offensive line played like a solid unit, opened up running lanes nicely, and gave excellent pass protection.

Still, it's early in the season, and while two games of improvement make things a lot more encouraging than what we were feeling two weeks ago at this time, we're going to have to keep taking a lot more big steps if we want to take on the big boys on the schedule. It's one thing to beat up a UNC defense that flat-out stinks, but facing USC and Clemson is going to require a good bit more progress.
