Romo knows the game FAR better than Herbstreit.

is that we, as viewers, don't have any choice as to which announcers we hear. Outside of specific knowledge and competency as an announcer, of which there are plenty of quality guys, what warrants these salaries?

Why is Romo being paid roughly $18M a year when his specific presence has no impact on who views a game? Personally, I like Harlan and Olsen but neither of them make anywhere near what Romo makes.

He's not the only one, i.e, Joe Buck (the one announcer I wish would just go away) and Troy Aikman make large sums but have no impact on viewership.

Buck and Aikman are highly overrated and Buck oozes ego. Harlan and Olsen sound very ordinary. I

liked Simms because he felt the game too and had a little Southern drawl that gave it a little charm. Madden was the best.

Did anyone honestly believe the Chiefs would lose tonight?

The Swift/Kelce relationship somehow generated an additional $300 million for the NFL this season. No way Goodell & Co. would ever let this fairy tale end up on a sour note.

Prediction: Taylor & Travis will "break-up" via social media w/in the next month.

Prediction #2: You can bet your sweet ass that 2 or more high profile NFL players will be in a very highly publicized relationship w/ some equally high profile singers, actresses, etc just in time for the start of the 2024 NFL season.

but I don't think the refs were trying to hurt anybody, (just a little human error) or that it was a plot because of the Swift/Kelce thing. Finally the NFL has had two great Super Bowls in a row.

That was an excellent game. Thoroughly enjoyed it and really enjoyed the piece on the history of Al Davis and the Raiders, being a lifelong Raiders fan (tough to do in recent years!)

I do like Andy Reid/Mahomes, and don't hate Travis Kelce despite his choice of girlfriend.

...so as basically a neutral watcher I agree it was a great game.

The ones who made this all happen. The field maintenance folk, food vendors, ticket takers, security, bathroom custodians, parking attendants, hotel workers, police, first responders. Without them, no Super bowl. They won't get their face on camera every two seconds, but they worked hard and earned their pay. For them, life goes on today with family, kids, bills, the usual boring stuff that is unrelatable to the celeb betters way up there in the millionaire suites. They won't go on tour or do the Late Night TV circuit. This Old Style is for you hard working blue collar regular folk who made another big event happen.
