Does ND have the worst home field advantage in college football?

It's like our fans are on sedatives compared to your average SEC crowd.

I swear the A&M fans jacked up our players as well.

Don't blame the fans on this one. They aren't the ones missing blocks & throwing picks.

They aren't the ones who ran into the stadium half dead to begin with. They aren't the ones giving up huge chunk plays. The almighty SEC fans would not have the same response playing a day game vs NIU as they would playing a prime time game vs Georgia or Ole Miss. There wasn't enough NIU fans in that place to make any difference. You want to blame MF, his staff, the players, the refs, the Jumbo, the concession stand food, the parking, the clouds, the TV announcers? Go ahead, but the fans are not the problem.

He’s not blaming them for the loss. He’s just pointing out reality. Which fan base sells its tickets

and let’s it’s home get taken over by opposing fans?

He didn't say one single thing about ND fans selling their tickets.

That is a huge problem for sure, but that wasn't his point. ND was supposed to do something about it with their "eye in the sky" technology after the Nebraska game . Nothing was done. What a shocker. We've had sellers on Irish message boards bragging about the money they made. I've had many a debate with these sell outs. Faculty and school employees are a major problem selling their tickets. That was not the issue yesterday and the staff and team still performed poorly.

No he didn’t but it’s indicative of many in our fan base. The initial post didn’t blame the loss on

the fans nor should it have. He’s right in general though about our ticket holders. Older, quiet, and I added willing to sell their tickets. All true.

You want the best fans, you can’t price them out

Not sure what solution is but I get tired of other teams fans coming in her and taking up more seats than they should.

Bingo. I really saw it recently.

Went to many home games cause I had free flop space with my kid being in LS there. Student section is nerd city, place is mostly quiet with the blue hairs getting pissed at those who make noise, and plenty of opposing fans there. Again, just reality. One of these days the subs will just say f it and good luck filling it with alumns.

We normally don’t have enough loud, rowdy citizens. We have many “Welcome to Notre Dame” folks. Not

that this is bad or wrong, but it doesn’t promote an energized, younger crowd. If you tried that “down in the front” at a top tier SEC school stadium, they would physically toss you out of the stands.

A lot of red and black in the stadium

The fans don’t want us to play MAC. It’s just not a draw and if you are going to spend hundreds of dollars to attend a game, it needs to be worth it. They squeeze the fans until it becomes economically undesirable to attend a game. For the return we are getting, I don’t blame them for balking. We will get more excitement for the bigger teams, but with the loss yesterday, how many people are selling their tickets?

Thread Level: 3

Dunno, coming off A&M they should have been there and reasonably loud.

You won't get attacked. Just please explain why. Was it just for the money? You didn't know who you were selling to? What did you feel watching the game on TV and seeing a sea of red? It's anonymous so no one will know who you are and everyone will be cool. Give us your reasoning if you're out there.
