When ND starts playing wide receivers that actually scare the opponent

Is there currently any wide receiver on this ND roster that scares the opponent's DC that he has to specifically scheme to stop? In the last decade, the only two receivers that would concern me as a DC would have been certainly Will Fuller and possibly Chase Claypool. Other than those two, ND has been trotting out receivers from Walmart.

And there aren’t any recruits like that next year. That cannot be a coincidence

When we develop an offense that can do what it wants to no matter who the opponent.

Tired of the plan being dependent on the team we play.

Impose your will on someone. U decide how I play not the other team.

It's the consistency that we have to work on, since we currently have none.

Since our coach is training on the job, it will likely take longer than Notre Dame's timeline allows.

Why did they not consider this point in hiring him? Likely because they hire based on good feelings and not any factual basis.

Being a Dcoord seems to be a large step away from head coach.

Freeman has done some good things, but the offense has been a disaster since he got here. Denbrock doesn't seem to have brought much to the table. Which was my hope.

You need a quality QB to work with, so when Carr starts to play

and the QB room is full of quality like Ewers

Can’t have, Rees, Buchner, Pyne and Book Types

What has Carr shown that makes you think that?

Exactly, Carr is an unknown. So is the rest of the QB room.

But Carr did look good in the Blue Gold game. And thay's all we really have to go on. And Leonard certainly is not inspiring confidence.

So is Carr good? Who knows. But all indications are that Leonard is not the answer. So why not take a shot, instead of risking next season as well by letting Carr get all his experience while learning on the fly?

Best to see what these QB's can do now in what has become an extended preseason for next year. ND has no shot at the 12 team playoff. Unless, one of the other QB's looks impressive enough that the committee overlooks the loss to a MAC team due to a bad choice of transfer QB.

Angelli looked good in his only start, so there is that. I always thought

His mobility.

I recall hearing he has issues going through processions. ie, if the first option was covered he isn’t very confident

He can't do it from sidelines. U really think Leonard

We both are likely right. I want to see minchey or Carr but that won’t happen

Sure Angeli looks like he can win 10 games, but not a playoff game

Thread Level: 8

Yeah, that's why it has to be Carr.
