So Purdue gets a full B1G pay out, but won’t even spring for modern turf?!

We should never play there again until that is rectified. I think it had a role in the injuries.

Jack Swarbrick installing plastic grass on that sacred field is the biggest travesty of his reign.

Our grass turf sucked - esp by November. I know all of the arguments, but this much is a fact....

....what we have now is FAR better than the grass we used to play on.

I am aware that some think that we can grow it better, but each field is unique. Further grass wears down and also limits the use of the stadium for other events which are actually really nice for those going to school there.

I am also in support of the field turf for the simple reason that it pisses of the NDNation whiners turned program haters.

There was NO reason for the grass to be allowed to become that bad. It was a travesty.

Other people can manage turf in that climate. It only needed to be played on 5 friggin' times a fall...

That's supposed to happen in phases 2 and 3

The renovation of the stadium started in 2000 or 2001, and was supposed to have three phases.

They never got past phase 1.
