MF needs to make a selfish decision and make a qb change. Not to be too dramatic but his coaching

You could see the frustration in MF's face and body language over the missed throws, but stepping

back for a moment, RL dropped a pearl into Collins' hands on the 38 yarder, and not many QBs can strike for 50 yd running TDs at any moment. Let's also not forget that we've lost starters from the OL and all that entails...for any QB/OC.

Here's hoping that RL 'masters' the easy throws and demonstrates it against Louisville...a tough and perhaps defining game for this season.

You’re hoping that RL suddenly becomes a qb he’s never been

That perfect 38 yarder gives me hope that he can resolve the short passing

Issues and together with his elite running will make him a winner…we’ll see shortly.

Everything about Leonard suggests he is not a legitimate quarterback

He can't throw downfield with any consistency, He can't anticipate. He can't read defenses pre-snap. He is hesitant. He is jumpy in the pocket.

He's more comfortable when he can tuck and run. Good teams will press the WRs and put 8 in the box (like NIU did), and Leonard can't make them pay for it.

I'm not denying those miscues, but I'm also not ready to quit on such an athletic QB not

being able to improve his short passing skills, which had he done so yesterday would have made it a much higher scoring game. Louisville will provide an immediate test to help resolve the question,..

btw, I'm also impressed by the performance of our beat-up OL replacements...not perfect, but they got better as the game progressed.

Makes you wonder what Freeman saw in him
