A lot worse places to be than 4-1 with two top 25 wins

Hey pal - positive comments aren't appreciated around here

So fans, on a message board, looking at things from a positive perspective is infecting the
players, coaches and admin and causing the program to flounder in your eyes?
Quite possibly one of the dumbest posts ever. And with posters like oldirish, woodstock and hensou posting here....that's saying something.

No. This attitude isn't saying a championship isn't the goal every year (and this year included).
If we lost to Louisville our goals would be most likely unobtainable, but with the win, we can still work on improving this team to reach our goals. If we can reach a higher level of play (and have no more losses on the offensive line) on the offense (with Leonard or another developing qb coming on) we can still achieve our goals.
Pissing about not being at the level of Alabama right now is not an attitude to win a championship (it is basically, a lack of trust in the coaches and players to improve, which is the attitude which would keep ND from winning a championship). If the players and coaches believe in themselves, they can play to their capabilities.

I don’t disagree but …
IF they can improve their play
This is key. Lots of evidence out there to view publicly that RL is a one dimensional QB and the coaches just keep running him into stacked boxes. This is insane.
And knowing this but still saying “at least we are 4-1, could be worse” isn’t a championship mentality.

The coaches and players did not make the comment, but a fan, who is most likely reminding the board
that optimism and belief are needed to reach ones goals.

Level 5
I understand. I do believe the players and coaches want to win a championship however
the program puts off a vibe that 10 wins and a bowl game are good enough.

Level 6
I don't see it. We fans made fun of purple faced Brian and then turn around and say, "we except
mediocrity" if we don't go ballistic when we don't play well or cleanly.
