I know a lot are over the drama surrounding this recruitment, but keeping Knight in the class is still in the best interest of Notre Dame. Knight seeing Auburn for a 3rd time without decommitting from Notre Dame and committing to Auburn - this time after an official visit - is potentially big here.
There have been reports of Knight coming to Notre Dame for the Oct 12 Stanford game. If he makes that trip, after all the trips to Auburn, while still publicly committed to Notre Dame, the Irish might be able to hang on here.
Auburn continuing to lose every time Knight is on campus can't be helping the Tigers chances either - especially with rumors already swirling around Hugh Freeze.

transfer watch each year.
It’s part of the deal now

Now with the NIL money it’s starters as well
see ND pursuing QBs with inconsistent skill sets. I'm not saying he's not a great athlete and that an offense can't run through him, but I'm left scratching my head about what sort of offense ND really wants to run.

Getting a QB in this class becomes very important.
RL is 1 and done and we all think 1 QB will transfer after the season based on what we have seen so far with a lackluster offense. That would leave 2 QBs for next year. Assuming we only lose 1
We all know the best way to fill that void…let’s hope we aren’t dumb enough to dip into the portal for a starter again should our numbers be low at QB.
Deuce would be huge if he stays in the class for multiple reasons
Receivers are getting open, and as much of a shambling mess as the offensive line is, they're actually giving the QB some time to throw.
I'm pretty sure that if he were watching the games, he'd see that there are plenty of opportunities, and that he can make it happen.
