a lot of folks just want to bitch and are pissed because they can't dump on his very strong performance. You would likely get detractors if he goes 24 for 28 for 300 yards and carries 10 times for 125.
What I do like is that he showed true improvement in execution and decision making. Hope it continues.

67th Time of Possession, 99th Pass Effeciency, 75th Total Offense, 111th Pass Offense, 20th Rush Offense thanks to Purdue, 50th Scoring Offense thanks to Purdue. Draw your own conclusions. QB? OC? OL? MF? Combination of everything?

Overdone.
Guys transfer after not playing at all and are fine. Free agent QBs in the NFL change teams and have to learn a new offense but it’s not like they can’t throw a pass 5 yards.
meshing with new WRs is going to take time but one would think RL would at least look the part of a competent passer even if there we lingering issues from some missed time.
Last game he did look more settled in the pocket but I have a hard time thinking a 4th year college QB would like that inept as a passer for this long in game situations. The chuck knoblach comparisons seem like a plausible explanation. RL did win some throwing competition in the off season against other high quality QBs so u have to believe the ability is in there somewhere.
It isn't slightly overdone.
Jordan Travis had a full Spring with FSU and a healthy previous year starting.
Russell Wilson had transferred after Spring Practice, but still had a full offseason
Bo Nix had a full Spring with new team and healthy previous year starting
Michael Penix had a full Spring with new team and healthy previous year starting
Jalen Hurts got yanked in NC game with Bama, had a full Spring with OU and healthy previous year starting
Jayden Daniels had a full Spring with new team and healthy previous year starting
Justin Fields had a full Spring with new team and was healthy backup previous
Caleb Williams had a full Spring with new team and same coach after starting the second half of his freshman year
Kyler Murray had a full Spring with new team and was healthy backup previous with 3 starts
Baker Mayfield was a walk-on starter at Texas Tech, then redshirted for a year under Stoops
Cam Newton was probably the highest rated JuCo transfer after his Florida scandal, had a full Spring with new team
Joe Burrow had a full Spring with new team and was backup previous, and 2 full seasons as a starter

I'm not RL or MF, so I'm not making excuses. It was delusional to think Riley would come in injured without a Spring, with a new and oft-injured O-Line, and 3 transfer WRs and be lighting up the passing stats.
