Too soon to draw that conclusion. Already talk about quality of wins AND losses.
If it is close at the end I could see NIU being the reason we get left out.
Underscores the need to win all remaining games and dominate inferior opponents.
Imposing corporate abuse, neglect and greed on deserving victims. -

I think just the opposite. If we win that game we are top 5 & hosting a playoff game.
That is one of the worst losses in program history.
Whatever the committee decides to do with ND, that loss can be used as an excuse/reason.
But on the other hand, that loss may show you who you really are.
The offense & the offensive line look like works in progress.

The problem that I see is that ND has little chance to move up much given its remaining schedule.
Louisville and USC losing doesn't help ND's SOS.
And the remaining schedule has no more prize or coveted wins...and not sure how good Navy and Army really are.-

Given that there are no more ties in college football, as long as we keep winning, we will move up by default.

Simple attrition for the teams ranked around ND will lift the Irish if they keep winning
Turkish 1395 postsIndividual teams may pass ND with strong wins, but they would be at the expense of teams already ahead of ND. The NIU loss was really bad, but happened at the best time of the year to lose - early.
I cannot imagine a season where an 11-1 ND team doesn't finish Top 10. They could even host a game.

Pretty sure we weren't favored by 28 over Marshall.
