The case for Riley Leonard. Agree with a good amount in here but wonder about the future.

Like Coan and Hartman before him, Leonard is a competent game manager. Hoping he and the others are the foundation of a competent QB program.

I’m not convinced that against a capable opponent that RL can lead the team to victory. But I think we’ll have at least 3 chances to test that in GT, Army and SC.

It’s troubling with this exceptionally weak schedule and only 6 games to go we are saying we have

To worry about 3 or 4. Yikes.

There was a plan yesterday. An offensive plan to focus on certain things RL could handle. His .

Intermediate to deep passing is still not good but he hit enough yesterday to take off a lot of pressure in the box.

The threat of multiple run options in plays with good RBs and a QB works with a decent passing game works. I like how we spread the ball around to multiple WRs. Had to be a conscious Effort to not use the TEs in passing game but the WRs stepped up.

This offense might not be the best against a top tier team but it needs to be efficient and consistent against army have and GT first.

If we lose to a service academy on top of NIU, Freeman is in big trouble.

Army and navy are the 2 schools I fear most . We handle everyone else.

If we “fear” those games, we have no right to claim to be a top 12 team. Simple as that.

Although scheduling them both in one season makes no sense given the injuries caused by TO teams.

If we “fear” those games, that tells you how far the program has fallen. Simple as that.

Our offensive inconsistency is my main concern. U don’t get extra possessions if u don’t stop them
