Even though the rest of his body was superhuman, Bo's hip bone was going through necrosis.

I'm not sure if any further details on Morrison's hip were released. I pray for the man that it's not the same condition.

Broken hip bone or labral tears might require it

You're right, that most hip injuries take care of themselves with the RICE method, but some do require surgery.

Either way, I wish Mr. Morrison the speediest and fullest of recoveries, and thank him for his excellent service to the Golden Dome. Classy guy, and he lets his excellent play do the talking.

Not what any of us wanted to hear today. Feel so bad for Ben and the team. Hopefully, he fully

recovers. He's a great kid. This is like 5 or 6 starters done for the year. It does make you wonder is it just bad luck or is there a causal effect related to the new strength and conditioning coach? In any event, ND can't afford to lose any more starters this season. If there's a silver lining, the playing time the younger guys are getting will help tremendously for the upcoming seasons.

I'd have to guess that it's simply bad luck

Some of the articles were saying that he suffered that injury after taking a direct hit on his hip. While building up muscle around that area can cushion things, that can only go so far, especially if you get hit in just the right place. If anything, that kind of a situation reminds me of the 1991 NFL season, when Randall Cunningham busted up his knee when Bryce Paup nailed him, and the stress was localized to just the "right" area.

Loren Landow is one of the best in the business, with a very well proven track record.

He may have played his last game for ND.

Let’s hope the injury does not affect his future mobility,
nor compromise his NFL Draft grade.

In 2014, we lost 4/8 of the 2 deep on d-line. 2 bad linebacker injuries. 2 bad secondary injuries. 13 players who made the depth chart for defense that year ended up injured.

Those injuries gave BVG an alibi for the steep cliff of a drop-off in performance following the FSU game. It took all of 2015 and the 3 games of the terrible 2016 year for BK to realize it wasn't bad luck.
