The only variable this week is what do they do with Alabama and 2 losses

and do any teams behind us jump us

You need to wake up and recognize a weak schedule can lead to teams behind us like BYU and Indiana and Texas A&M jumping us.

Though ESPN does have us now at 63% chance of making it in.....may predictions show us on the outside.

Again, big unknown is final ranking of Power teams w/2 losses to Power teams vs. ND loss to NIU..

We play more ranked teams at the time of our match up than many.

ESPN has been working their narrative. The schedule is weak…FOR US.

The only teams with a pulse are A&M, Louisville, and GT thus far.

Also, placing any value in the "ranked at time of game" way is thinking never works. GT defeated a top 10 FSU team in August. Any value in that?

pulse out of Louisville, and we beat an undefeated SEC team by 10 on their home field at night before our QB started throwing the ball better.

Where they are ranked at the time we played them is meaningless or close to it....

Louisville was ranked and now has lost 3 games.....

With Texas A&M's schedule not impossible they will pass us if they win out....

there is a reason we are the 6th or 7th ranked one loss team....

ESPN uses the "ranked" distinction liberally to their narrative advantage. Also,

where a team is ranked when you play them is very relevant since injuries and team mindset have a huge impact on a team.
Look at what happened yesterday. We broke GT. They were carting people off the field left and right, and they kept their QB in even during garbage time to try to make the score look better....and we hurt him for the future season as well.

BYU has a #55 SOS. They are hardly world beaters.

The way it works is that where a team was ranked when ND played them is meaningless

It’s not meaningless if you knock them down or out of the Top 25.

Exactly. Who would you rather face, undefeated Navy or undefeated IU

Yet they will credit B10 playoff contenders for IU, but not ND for Navy.
