This matchup is very similar to the ND/Navy game of 1978...I remember it well.

The game was play at the old Cleveland Municipal Stadium; Navy was undefeated (coming in), ranked #15 - ND (7-1) ranked #11. All the media hype that week going to Navy (Navy will beat ND for the 1st time since 1963, etc. etc.) ND blew them out 27-7. ND had 530 yds. total offense; Vagas Ferguson ran for over 219 yds. Let's hope this same scenario plays out today!
