Yes, because if they win the SEC they'll have a first round bye...
and IF we win out and A&M wins the SEC, I'll bump our playoffs odds from 99+ to 100% lock.
There is zero chance an 11-1 ND with a win over the SEC champ is left out.
Happiness is a choice. And really doesn't matter at all....
...if we win out and they win out, they are in the first 4 spots which are not accessible to us. If we win out and they lose again, they are behind us. If we lose, we are out anyways.

Not so sure Reed would have made any difference
It's safe to say that we have a much better defense than LSU's.
Our defensive line won the battle of the trenches that day. The linebackers had a solid day, and the secondary had a great game.
Also, when opposing defenses prepared for Marcel Reed, they're going to stack the box.
Reed has played plenty this year.
He's not very good, last night not notwithstanding.
A&M better watch for the letdown next week at South Carolina.
LSU D wasn't ready for him. Future opponents will be ready IMHO. We'll see.
In fact, LSU D got themselves adjusted to him on the last series they didn't score.
