Davis Warren isn't the answer. He doesn't have the arm strength to challenge the downfield defense even at medium range, and without that threat, the West Coast Offense doesn't work.
If he could reliably complete a 15-25 yard pass to an open receiver, that would certainly open up the short passing game that's the meat and potatoes of the WCO, but right now, the opposing defense is squatting and not respecting his arm.
They just went 3 and out, and punted for a net 11 yards... IU ball at the Michigan 39.
